A nutritional therapy practitioner makes personalised food and lifestyle recommendations to promote health and wellbeing. Each assessment is based on a scientific evaluation of the biochemical processes underlying health issues. Health and wellbeing coaching shapes the nature of consultations, to promote client-centred dialogue so that a client may participate actively in optimising their health and wellbeing.

A coaching style to share scientific information about health creates a conversational exchange, to allow client and coach to participate equally. A coaching perspective acknowledges that change is not a simple process, so that goals are set realistically for recommendations relating to lifestyle changes. Coaching helps clients to develop their awareness of their power of choice, increasing their confidence to make judgments about their own health. Not only does health and wellbeing coaching help you in the present, but coaching helps you to become your own self-coach for your future health goals.
